Lilies

Lilies are beautiful but can be dangerous to cats. The pollen in particular if the cat happens to brush against them and then licks the pollen of its coat. Mine are in a large pot outside as I found that the pollen also sticks to your skin and can be a difficult to wash off.

I thought that my Lilies had rotted away as there was no sign of them last year. Only one tried to struggle through earlier in the year but much to my delight all three have produced flowers. I love the scent on a warm night when the Lilies are fully open.
