Panasonic DMC-FZ28 18x optical zoom

Demonstrating the zoom capabilities of the Panasonic Zoom camera.

The main garden scene was taken first and then the zoom was used for the photo of the blackbird. Behind the tall conifers there is the wild part of the garden where the pond is situated. The bird bath is in this area. I have placed a large flat stone inside what is a plant pot and filled it with water. The stone helps to steady the pot apart from giving the birds a place to perch.

The photos were taken from inside the house through a window.

The second example is of a Magpie at the top of the conifer tree, only a speck from the distance. Zoomed in to the fullest distance it is quite clearly a Magpie.
